>From Jamie Meyers:
2/22/14 - East Hartford, Great River Park: the Lesser Black-backed Gull continues. There is also a Glaucous Gull and an Iceland Gull here.
Enfield - Barnes Boat Launch, 3 CANVASBACKS across the river in Suffield, at least 16 NORTHERN PINTAILS scattered along the edge on both sides of the river, and ~ 30 GREATER SCAUP on the river with the Canvasbacks.

As other reports have suggested, there is duck movement and any open water is worth checking. I had Wood Ducks on the river at Windsor Locks, and the pintails appear to be obviously moving too. The vanguard of the blackbirds has arrived on territory, as others have noted as well.

There were around 30 Horned Larks in a parking lot near Cabela's in East Hartford and 15 or so more along the runways at Skylark Airport in East Windsor, apropos for an airport with that name!
