[CT Birds] Stratford, Long Beach and Short Beach

No rarities to report, but there was an impressive number of Long-tailed
Duck off of Long Beach this afternoon. At least 300 were far offshore. A
scope was necessary to view them well enough to get a count. There were
also about 240 Common Goldeneye, which were closer to shore. A Snowy Owl
was still in the marsh.

At Short Beach, there was a flock of about 60 Snow Buntings.
