3/12/14  Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center  10am-1PM, high tide
receding, overcast 48F-53F.
Driving into Audubon on right side by marsh, about 100 Canada Geese
foraging.
At the observation platform in parking lot, 8 Red Breasted Mergansers
diving (3 drake, 5 hens),
House sparrows are all over the Purple martin gourds. Common grackles on
grounds.
inside-viewed from windows facing marsh: 2 Cardinals (M&F), mourning doves,
2 Song sparrows, 2 white throated sparrows, preening, 2 Yellow rumped
warblers, 1 Fox sparrow.
On marsh- 4 American black ducks, 5 Mute swans, about 15 Buffleheads
(diving),
2 mallards, 1 Wooden dock (not duck)-washed up.  Both herring & Ring billed
gulls.

3/5/14   12-1PM  marsh was half frozen over from shore to midway out.
1 drake Red breasted merganser, 2 mallards, 22 Buffleheads, 11 American
black ducks, 3 Gadwalls, 5 American wigeons, 2 Crows, 1 Song sparrow, 3
Mute swans, 1 Cardinal (M), and gulls.
