[CT Birds] WHAM !

I saw something similar in Enfield last week, watching a flock of robins in light rain under some evergreens, when WHAM came a Cooper’s and snatched up a nice fat one.  Seemed so unfair to the robins…

Ah - the hint of Spring in the air - I see 3 Chipmunks with wanderlust within scurrying about on the snow, when WHAM - out of nowhere comes a Red Shouldered Hawk, grabbing one Chipmunk and flies off with its meal. It's tough out there in Nature - Comparably, we humans have it so soft, protected in our homes with little danger from natural predators. I don't think I would like to have been born a Chipmunk!
