Before heading out to the COA meeting this morning, 'had a magnificent male Pileated Woodpecker tearing into a tree in the front yard, allowing very close and long observation.

Later this afternoon, 'a FOY Eastern Phoebe at the Old Bethany Airport.  Also at the airport, were three Killdeeer.  Two were observed back on March 2, when there was still considerable amounts of snow.  They were found only small bare patches of ground beneath the small pines.
