>From Frank Mantlik, birding a bit in Stratford this mid-day:

3/25  Birdseye St. boatramp - A pair of BLUE-WINGED TEAL with the many ducks and coots at the sewage outfall channel. Another birder told me she had seen the Red-necked Grebe in the river from the fisherman's deck.

Long Beach - wintering 2nd-cycle ICELAND GULL continues.

Russian Beach (Park Blvd) at low tide - thousands of (mostly) Ring-billed Gulls scraping the rocks of barnacle spat along the shore at low tide.

Great Meadows Marsh near Sikorsky Airport entrance - GREAT EGRET.

Raven Pond Park (Rt 110 and Brookside) - pair of NORTHERN PINTAIL and continuing male MALLARD X NORTHERN PINTAIL hybrid.
