Had large numbers of Bonapartes Gulls as well as a 1st cycle Iceland on the flats at Southport Beach. A good 200 were on the beach while a larger group of 200+ could be seen feeding further out in the sound. Despite repeated scans no Little or Black Headed Gulls could be found.

Around 4 PM the flock dispersed, heading towards Westport. A large flock of gulls could be seen off Burying Hill Beach with numerous Bonies mixed in. Unfortunately too distant to pick out anything else. The Lesser-Black Backed Gull continues.

An earlier walk around Sherwood Is with Stefan Martin and Mayn Hipp proved to be very quiet.
