[CT Birds] Long Beach Gannets, Iceland Gulls

4/10  Stratford, Long Beach/Long Beach West, morning highlights: 3 NORTHERN GANNETS, 2 ICELAND GULLS (a 1st-winter and the continuing 2nd-winter bird), 400+ Brant, 1200 Greater Scaup, 64 Lesser Scaup, 600 Long-tailed Ducks, 2 Piping Plovers, 4 Am. Oystercatchers, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 7 Ospreys, many usual gulls and not a single Bonaparte's Gull.

Bridgeport, Pleasure Beach - pair NORTHERN SHOVELERS, 700 Scaup, 3 Double-crested Cormorants along jetty.

Southport, Southport Beach, mid-day - Among 1400 Bonaparte's Gulls, at least two LITTLE GULLS: one adult in non-breeding plumage and at least one 1st-winter bird. Both photographed by many. Thanks to Keith Mueller for finding ("four") and promptly reporting them.
