[CT Birds] Woodland Birds Workshop this Saturday May 3rd in Salisbury, CT

 Dear CT Birding Community,
  Audubon Connecticut, in partnership with the CT Agricultural Experiment Station, Mass Audubon, and the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), is running a Woodlands Birds Workshop this Saturday, May 3rd from 9 am - 1 pm.  The Workshop, which is geared to landowners, will begin with presentations on the birds in your woods, how private landowners can manage their woods with birds in mind, and NRCS Programs that are available to landowners.   There will also be opportunity to sign-up for a free Woodland Bird Habitat Assessment of your property.  The first half of the workshop will take place at Town Hall (27 Main Street) in Salisbury, CT.  The second half of the workshop will include a visit Mt. Riga to see how forests can be managed to increase the diversity of habitats available to birds and other wildlife. This workshop is supported by the Northeast Forest Alliance and the US. Forest Service.
