A quick step outside will confirm this. The birds are flying over pretty low. I've heard Solitary Sandpiper, a few Swainson's and Wood Thrushes, quite a few sparrows (maybe Chipping) and a few high pitched warbler calls (Blackpolls?) flying over my fairly urban yard tonight.

Subject: [CT Birds] Tonight
At least for the moment the radar shows birds in the and the wind is coming from the west. There is also some rain moving our way, but I expect that once it passes birds will be up again.
Of course good migration weather means birds are leaving too.
