[CT Birds] Lawrence's Warbler, and other notable sightings at Naugatuck State Forest

5/11/14, in Naugatuck at the Naugatuck State Forest, west block:  New Haven
Bird Club Field Trip results:  61 species, with the highlights being:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Yellow-throated and Blue-headed Vireo, Field
Sparrow, Scarlet Tanager, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, and
eighteen warbler species including: Bay-breasted, Blackburnian, Worm-eating,
Hooded, and a LAWRENCE'S WARBLER.  The Lawrence's Warbler was observed
singing along the edge of the power line cut on the west side of State
Forest Road (between Hunter's Mountain Road and the rifle range).  We then
observed it a few minutes later in the woods alongside the road, over the
stream.  It was singing a typical Blue-winged Warbler song.  Full report on
