?Still one day to go in the Big Weekend, but some great birding already. I'm not even sure what the weekend tally is so far, but here are some highlights from Day 1.
Day 2 will be hard to pick the highlight shots for and who knows what Day 3 will bring! It's a great day of birding when it starts with a Yellow-crowned Night-Heron in Southbury and finishes with 3 Upland Sandpipers chasing each other around Rentschler Field for 20 minutes followed by Whip-Poor-Will calling by the side of the road, Common Nighthawk flying out from roost and American Woodcock displaying at the same time. Thanks to all who helped to make it such a great experience!
