Join us and learn more about your woodlands and the birds that live on them from a team of professionals in a free forest bird habitat workshop.

Audubon Connecticut, the CT Agricultural Experiment Station, the Yale School of Forestry, and Ferrucci & Walicki, LLC, are offering a Woodlands Birds Workshop Saturday, June 7th from 9 am - 1 pm at the Yale School of Forestry Camp in Eastford, CT. The Workshop is geared toward landowners and will begin with presentations on the birds in your woods and how private landowners can manage their woods with birds in mind. (NRCS Programs are also available to help landowners conduct activities on their properties that can improve habitat for birds.).

There will also be an opportunity to sign-up for a free Forest Breeding Bird Habitat Assessment of your property. The first half of the workshop will take place at Yale-Myers Forest Camp, N. Ashford Pike, Eastford CT. The second half of the workshop will be outdoors and will include a visit the Yale-Myers Forest to see how forests can be managed to increase the diversity of habitats available to birds and other wildlife.
