> Hi,
> I'm not on the CT birds list so I thought I would tell you. I was on Pumpkin Hill Road in Chaplin CT looking for Cerulean warblers today (saw a couple). I was on the trail at the second green gate going north. I had a brief but unmistakable look at a Yellow-throated warbler. Gray back, bold black face marking with white line above and behind, yellow throat. No doubt about it. I was so stunned I was unable to take a picture fast enough. I was not able to re-locate and I didn't hear it sing. Presumably a very late vagrant? This was about a hundred yards from the road.
> In the cutover area which is about a third of a mile (?) down the path, there were several Chestnut-sided, Blue-winged warblers, Indigo buntings, etc. I heard a warbler song I didn't recognize and tried to turn it into a Yellow-throated but I couldn't see the bird singing. This is a great area and worth visiting!
