Had an interesting hour in the yard the other day. Plenty of goldfinches singing, along with a trio of house finches ; one of them being a yellow variant. Also had a trio of cedar waxwing swallowing berries across the street, and to top it off, a common nighthawk winging across the sky as dusk approached. Waking up this morning I heard a lot more than 3 waxwings in the trees. I guess they found something they like!
