Vanessa and I were at Woodbridge Community Gardens yesterday evening, 6/7, and a male Merlin flew over heading north carrying a bird. It flew into a wooded area across from the park. This is late for a migrant, and Merlin is a potential breeding bird in CT. They are nesting now in MA, so please keep your eyes open, and report any suspected evidence of nesting to the listserv and rare records committee. Fingers are crossed for a new nesting species. Thanks.
