There was a flurry(literally) of activity at the tree farm early this morning that is still going on as I leave and write this. Lots of birds in the trees along the stone wall area on the left when you walk in and a few nice flyover migrants as well. Yesterday was relatively quiet. Today was a different story with ten warbler species plus other bonus birds.just after first light is best at this location.

9/17/14- Westport- CT Audubon Tree Farm- American Kestrel & 2 Merlins(flyovers),2 Blue-headed,1 Philadelphia,& 6 Red-eyed Vireos,3 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers,4 Northern Parula,Magnolia,CAPE MAY,Black-throated Green,Pine,Palm (Western),Blackpoll, & Black-and-white Warblers,5 American Redstarts & 8 Common Yellowthroats(probably more),
Eastern Towhee,Rose-breasted Grosbeak,8 Indigo Buntings,2 Dickcissel( flyovers), and 2 Bobolinks( in the most eastern field).

This is why this location is a favorite of mine. Every day is different!
