With today's strong NW winds many birds were fighting their way back up
from the coast after being pushed a little too close. At times late in the
day we'd have several Sharp-Shins and Kestrels in the same field of view
heading Northwest up the valley to re-orient themselves. Two low Merlins
gave a group of boy scouts a nice flyby as well. It looks like the winds
will be lighter tomorrow but still out of the NW, which could be more ideal
for thermal formation and hopefully some late Broad Wings to go with it. It
you wanna catch Broad Wings before they're gone the next few days may be
your last chance.
