[CT Birds] Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch 9/23: 1, 635 Raptors incl. 1, 378 Broad Wings

Well I guess the Broadies weren't done after all! Many nice kettles of 100+
birds today but many were to our south and distant, likely as a result of
yesterday's winds pushing many birds to the coast. Tomorrow's winds will be
ENE at 10-15 mph before shifting back to the South later in the week, so it
could be our last glimmer of hope for a Broad-Wing flight this year. Seeing
that over a thousand were tallied in Maine today there certainly is hope.
