10-6 New Haven, Lighthouse Point hawk watch - c 60 diurnal raptors of an expected species mix (Dana Campbell may have added a few more late).
Very interesting passerine/woodpecker flight early on light NE wind, which turned SE by mid-morning:
2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, 1 C. NIGHTHAWK,1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 50 Tree Swallows (mid-morning), 600+ Blue Jays, 40 Tufted Titmice, 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1 AMERICAN PIPIT, 600+ Cedar Waxwings, 700+ House Finches, 40 PURPLE FINCHES, 55 PINE SISKINS.

Of special interested was an unusual number of Red-bellied Woodpeckers, at least 20 compared to a normal 2 or 3. There definitely appeared to be a movement underway, although the birds were very disorganized and hard to enumerate. They were joined to 40 to 50 Northern Flickers.

Thanks for help from Bill Banks, Lynn James, Dana Campbell, Steve Spector, Paul Cashman, Franklin Nejaime
