A lovely morning to bird. Between 9 and 10:30 at East Shore Park in New
Haven I had the following birds:
2 juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers drilling a willow tree, many Palm and
Pine Warblers, Yellow-rumped Warblers, a Golden-crowned Kinglet, some Grey
Catbirds, many Northern Mockingbirds, a small flock of Cedar Waxwings,
several Downey Woodpeckers, a Blue-headed Vireo eating a large insect, an
adult Bald Eagle, a small flock of Red-breasted Nuthatches in the trees
along the water, and some of the usual suspects like Song Sparrows, Blue
Jays, and American Goldfinches.
