10/14/14 Wilton, Norwalk River Valley Trail 2 - Orange-crowned Warbler.

9:20 am - I saw an Orange-crowned Warbler on the recently completed second segment of the Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) today. This second segment begins where the first segment left off on Raymond Lane. It runs NNE and ends on Rt. 106 (Sharp Hill Road) opposite Autumn Ridge, where there is suggested parking. Starting from there, the bird was seen feeding with several Yellowrumps, Blackpolls and a Blackthroated Blue Warbler along the second straight-away where there is a stand of Pines on the right side. Using eBird maps, in the upper right corner, change the setting from Terrain to Street, magnify as necessary, and the labeled Norwalk River Valley Trail is shown as a gray line, starting at the intersection or Rt. 7 and Wolfpit Road to Sharp Hill Road at Autumn Ridge.
