[CT Birds] Morning Birds Pomfret

At Bafflin Sanctuary, Pomfret Center
                                                                Nice
showing of Sparrows and other birds in hedgerows and fields on the  north
side of Bosworth Rd..  Best  were a single Fox Sparrow and  3 White-crowned
Sparrows.  Song Sparrows were especially abundant  followed by Swampies and
Savannahs,  White-throated  Sparrows were also plentiful.  Juncoes seemed
to confine themselves to road edges,  a single Chipping Sparrow was also
seen.  There was a large flock of Red-winged Blackbirds along the western
edge of the field and along with them  13 Rusty Blackbirds.  A single
Eastern Meadowlark flew up from the grassy area mid field and 1 or 2 others
could be heard.
