[CT Birds] Owl debate

To me the issue is one of "getting" the bird for what ever list one is keeping versus what is best for a snowy owl or any wild bird out there. One can pursue ones birding list by being responsible towards the wild bird one is pursuing. As Roy has suggested using scopes with high power lens rather then chasing a "target" bird about to get the "perfect" photo would be the way to not stress a snowy owl or any other wild bird. Like any hobby out there people often pursue what ever their passion is with out considering what the impact of their hobby is on the greater world. If a pattern of irresponsible behavior continues in the pursuit of a "target" bird then perhaps that "target" bird should not be listed here. Common sense birding folks, please. Birding should be fun and not the grim "pursuit" of whatever the 'target" bird is.
