Apparently a pair of California Condors raised a chick in the Ventina wilderness of California without biologists knowing about the nesting until the young bird was reared! As a result it has no tags on it. What a nice surprise being reared under the radar! There are now about 425 condors in existence with 219 in the wild in California, Arizona, Utah and Mexico.
