​1/21  Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center,  9:30am-12:30PM, mid
tide,
partially frozen marsh, 28F, overcast.
9:30-10am on Long Island Sound-200+ Black ducks with a couple of other
species, but I only had binoculars, not a scope,  Canada Geese, Red
Breasted Mergansers, Ring billed & herring gulls,
8 American Tree sparrows in bushes near platform to marsh side,
Mockingbird, 1 Northern Harrier, Buffleheads.
10-12:30PM viewed from windows in building,
at feeders and on grounds- an invasion of House sparrows-24, 2 Song
sparrows, 2 White throated sparrows, 1 American Tree sparrow,
3 Cardinals, American crow, 2 Carolina wrens, Mourning doves, Titmice.
on marsh:  1 Northern Harrier, Buffleheads, Red Breasted Mergansers, 2
mallards, and a
probable Red shouldered hawk far out on the marsh-thanks to Jim for
assistance with the probable identification.
