[CT Birds] White-winged Gulls

Yesterday (Thurs) afternoon Meigs Point, Hammonasset- 4:45 pm two  
adult ICELAND GULLS on the Meigs jetty. When they flew to the beach  
one was a very petite pale bird with pure white primaries, the other  
adult had black wing tips and dark irids. Both Gulls circled the beach  
once and then flew off towards Clinton.

Today (Friday)- Madison, East Wharf- 1st cycle ICELAND GULL.

Madison, Circle Beach- 2 ICELAND GULLS (1 continuing adult and 2nd  
cycle). Also 5 Purple Sandpipers

Stratford/Long Beach- continuing adult ICELAND GULL at the eastern  
point by the entrance, also returning large "WHITE-WINGED" Gull (aka  
Mr. Long Beach) now in its 3rd cycle hanging out at its usual place on  
the jetty at the west end of the parking lot.
