"The Hidden Lives of Snowy Owls" by Don Crockett
During the winter of 2013/2014 more Snowy Owls invaded the northeastern
U.S. than in any winter in the past 100 years. Inspired by this
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity Project SNOWstorm fitted 23 Snowy Owls with
GPS transmitters to track their movements every 30 minutes 24 hours a day.
This past winter 5 of the tracked owls returned and 12 new owls were fitted
with GPS transmitters. The data collected from these owls has provided
unprecedented insight into the lives of Snowy Owls during their winter
visits to the U.S. and their travels in northern Canada. This talk will
present some of the interesting and surprising discoveries that have been
made.

"The Flicker" by Sebastian Holquist
This short film examines the life and work of Roger Tory Peterson. It is
based around interviews with some of the people who knew him best. From his
youth in Jamestown, New York to the four decades he spent living in Old
Lyme, this film attempts to put his amazing life into historical perspective
