[CT Birds] AMERICAN BITTERN Larsen Sanctuary

Hi Aidan:

Yes!  My sons and I flushed an American Bittern at the Larsen Sanctuary 
during their April vacation in 1973.  It flew across the pond and then 
froze.  It was a life bird for us, and very satisfactory -- doing just 
what a bittern is supposed to do.  We also had a few Palm Warblers that
