The bird flew off to the south towards the base of Sandy Pt and despite being searched for, was not relocated by the time I left at 5:25.

There is also a first-cycle Iceland there, however that was also not relocated. 

It is likely both these birds are still in the area...bring bread!!

The Thayer's is a first-cycle and looks similar to a lot of bleached HEGUs that are present. The wingtips and tail are coffee-colored, the folded primaries showing dagger-shaped pale tips at rest. In flight the tail is brown, not blackish and there is a darker trailing edge to the wing.
