​4/22 10am-12:30PM, sunny, 58F-66F, low tide rising.
Lots of birds singing everywhere-beautiful chorus:
On the grounds were-
In the "gourd colony"-8 (probably more) Purple Martins, with a few House
sparrows sneaking in;
Tree swallows, Carolina wrens singing, Common Grackles, Mourning doves-2
pairs nesting, American Robins, Red Winged blackbirds, Song sparrows,
Chipping sparrows, Goldfinches, Starlings, Cowbirds, Cardinals courting.
And of course our Osprey pair.  Female was on the nest all morning, with
the male either perching on the bar, perching on the ground near the nest
or flying around.
On the marsh- 2 Great Egrets, 6 Snowy Egrets, 150+ Brant, Red Breasted
Mergansers, Mute Swans,  a pair of Gadwalls, D. C. Cormorant-flyover, 3
Lesser Yellowlegs.
And several human visitors.
