One Lesser Black-backed Gull (2nd or 3rd cycle) on the exposed sandbars in the Housatonic River at low tide today, among at least 1,000 gulls. Short Beach would be a good vantage point. Many of the gulls were going to Short Beach on the rising tide in any case. There were some pretty big concentrations of gulls feeding off of Russian Beach and from the Seawall at various times today, including a couple of dozen Bonaparte's Gulls.
