Not like yesterday but still a lot of activity. Wood Thrushes singing in
4 different places. Nice to hear again.
Finally confirmed that there are 2 Osprey frequenting the Yale Forest
Area, Both seen circling over Bigelow Brook together. One was displaying over
the pond at the bottom of Kinney Hollow Road, calling and repeatedly diving
and pulling up. Perhaps a nest in the area? Question now is whether there is
also one coming over from the Eastford marsh to fish.
Still lots of yellow rumps at the ponds on Barlow Mill Rd, but it seemed
there were a lot more females today along with the males. Still 2 Least
Flycatchers singing near each other.
