Woke to 2 singing Wood Thrush and 1 singing Scarlet Tanager in the yard this
morning. Hiked 6+ miles in Nehantic State Forest in Lyme, 10 species of
Warbler, most notable 1 singing Cerulean. Definite increase in Yellow
Warblers (cut over area just outside the forest boundary had multiple Yellow
Warblers doing virtually all variations of their song) and Blue-winged
Warblers from yesterday. Also present multiple Scarlet Tanagers,
Yellow-throated Vireos, Great Crested Flycatchers, Baltimore Orioles, as
well as the usual suspects. Still plenty more to come.
