Notable species seen on the New Haven Bird Club walk at the Naugatuck State
Forest this morning included: Great Blue Heron (seen flying through the
woods over a small stream!), Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, ACADIAN FLYCATCHER,
Winter Wren, and fifteen species of warbler, including Hooded and Canada
Warbler. We also saw the LAWRENCE'S WARBLER at the exact same location as
last year, at the power line cut at Forest Road. 63 species in all.
