[CT Birds] Black Skimmer, Pectoral Sandpiper at Milford Point

5/25/15:  At Milford Point and marsh:  the adult Black Skimmer was seen late
in the day (at high tide) roosting on the sandbar and flying low over the
water.  A large flock of shorebirds was present on the sandbars, including ~
400 Semipalmated Sandpiper, 75 Semipalmated Plover, several Dunlin and Ruddy
Turnstone, and one Pectoral Sandpiper.  There was also a very young
Oystercatcher chick.  Seen an hour or so before high tide in the marsh (via
kayak) were: 4 Short-billed Dowitcher, about 10 Dunlin in breeding plumage,
and 8 Yellow-crowned Night-heron.  A flyby immature Laughing Gull was
