[CT Birds] Harkness S.P., Black Scoter, Common Eider, Piping Plover

Waterford, Harkness S.P. - 8:00 - 9:00 am, A pair of Common Eider, male and female, male looked as though he was just coming into adult plumage, very near shore off the rocks at east end of the park;  one first year male Black Scoter, "flat"  orange bulb above bill, further west along the coast, not too far from the stream outlet; many Least Terns (no nests spotted), and a half dozen Piping Plover (also no nests) on the beach west of the observation platform, and also on the mudflats along the Cove.
