[CT Birds] Dawn Chorus!

7/9 New Milford house - woken at 4:30 by passing great blue heron and shortly the dawn chorus began.  In order or appearance:-  catbird, cardinal, chipping sparrow, veery;  
   
5:15 - house wren, Carolina wren, song sparrow, wood thrush, hummingbird, crow, chickadee, red-eyed vireo;  
   
5:35 - northern waterthrush (or Louisiana in weird alternate song?), white-breasted nuthatch, black-billed cuckoo, titmouse;  
   
5:55 - red-shouldered hawk, blue-gray gnatcatcher, yellow-throated vireo.  20 species  
   
and by 8:00 at the feeders - goldfinch, red-winged blackbird, downy, hairy and red-bellied woodpeckers, bluebird, blue jay and grackle. 28 species altogether.   It was rather wonderful!
