Two American Kestrels this morning at Stratford Point...both of them females.
Yesterday I had the good fortune to visit the World Peace Sanctuary in Wassaic, NY, just over the border from Kent with Jim Dugan and Sean Grace. It is worth the stop if you find yourself in that neck of the woods. Decent numbers of Hooded Warblers in the woods and an Eastern Meadowlark singing from a tree line in the fields. Beautiful place with lots of potential for birds and the butterfly habitat is spectacular.
