Not much doing hawk wise at the Chestnut Hill Hawk Watch in Litchfield, CT today (11 Sept). Had just one each of the following hawks: sharp-shinned hawk, broad-winged-hawk, and American kestrel. Heavy cloud cover for most of the count. We left early at 2 PM (1 PM Standard time). Had other birds to entertain us: 8 eastern bluebirds on the wires on the road, 30 cedar waxwings flying about, one eastern phoebe, and one female scarlet tanager. Had 2 monarch butterflies pass the hawk watch too.
