I received notice of a public hearing on the management plan for the
Matianuck Natural Area Preserve and want to be sure that any interested
persons are aware of the opportunity to be heard. I am not familiar with
this area but perhaps some of you have an interest. You can access the
plan by clicking on the link at the bottom of the notice.
Notice of Public Hearing Regarding Matianuck Natural Area Preserve
The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) gives notice
of his intention to conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed
management plan for the Matianuck Natural Area Preserve located in Windsor,
Connecticut. All interested persons are invited to express their views on
the proposed management plan.
Copies of the proposed Matianuck Management Plan may be obtained online at:

writing the DEEP, Bureau of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division; by

Persons may also choose to present their views regarding the proposed
regulations in writing and submit them to the Department of Energy and
Environmental Protection. Written Comments should be submitted by November
2, 2015, 4:30 by email DEEP.Wildlife at ct.gov or mailing DEEP, Bureau of
Natural Resources, Wildlife Division. Based on public comment, proposed
measures may be adjusted to meet the objective of the proposal.
