11/8/15, 5:50–7:03 AM -- Backyard, Westport

A surprisingly productive hour and thirteen minutes. Before dawn there was 1 HERMIT THRUSH in nocturnal migration, 1 MALLARD flyover, 1 AMERICAN WOODCOCK flyover, and, for me, the greatest surprise was a flock of 20 SNOW GEESE flying southwest. After dawn, the best thing was a chipping sparrow. Finches and waxwings are on the move, as well. I'm hoping for some crossbills in the near future!
