This morning in Old Lyme there were 7 No. Gannets seen off Griswold
Point towards the mouth of the CT River. There were six there on
Wednesday including several well up into the river, about at the level
of the Saybrook Point Inn. Also at the Great Island Boat Launch a
Clay-colored Sparrow was feeding along the fence edge providing good
looks and a few photos.
At the DEP pond, 6 Black Vultures in a kettle, working west, and at
least a dozen Gadwall and two GW Teal in the north end of the pond
with Canada Geese. Also got a brief look at a possible bobcat near the
pond, a bit small but had a bob tail. No Franklin's Gull though.
