As the sun rose this morning, a flock of robins and a flock of waxwings flew in to feast on the thousands of small crab apples still hanging on to the flowering crab. An hour later the tree is fairly stripped, with more and more birds coming in to gorge themselves. At this rate, the tree will be stripped by mid morning.
