[CT Birds] Land and Water Conservation Fund Action

Please take a moment to contact your legislators today or over the weekend (using the link below). Congress is expected to wrap up year-end deals as early as this weekend, so outreach must happen as soon as possible to help get LWCF reauthorization included in one of the final legislative packages. This is critical funding for additions to National Wildlife Refuges across the country so hopefully folks in many states can take action in the coming days!

If you could include the following in the customizable message that the link provides, it would be great:

1. Tell them how LWCF is important to your state and how important it is for the Conte Refuge and the Connecticut River (or your other favorite refuges); and

2.      Request that they contact their party leader (Senate Majority Leader McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Reid, House Speaker Ryan, or Minority Leader Pelosi) to encourage them to include LWCF reauthorization in their deals (see specific House members below);

This funding has been especially important for the Conte Refuge for acquisitions in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Thank you!
