Two American Oystercatchers were feeding along Stratford Point's north
side beach Monday, 12/21, a couple hours after low tide. Three
Black-bellied Plovers were with them and plenty of the expected
Sanderling and Dunlin were across the way at Short Beach. There is a
slowly climbing number of ducks in the area, though nothing especially
of note. Passerines remain typically quiet, and the only raptor on site
was a Northern Harrier. Hopefully the AMOY stick it out a few more days
for the CBC...and they should, given the warmth.
