I took some time today to bird the coast from Westport to Milford,
concentrating especially in Stratford. Highlights below:

Stratford Point -- The 2 AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS continue at Short Beach.
Oak Bluff Ave -- ~85 Brown-headed Cowbirds accompanying a group of
starlings about the same size.
Frash Pond -- 6 Canvasback.
Birdseye Boat Ramp -- 4 American Coot.
Merwin Point, Milford -- 6 Black-bellied Plover, 5 Purple Sandpiper (as
reported earlier by Frank Mantlik).
Seaside Park, Bridgeport -- Large numbers of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls.
1 Iceland Gull (2nd cy-type), 35 Horned Lark.
Captain's Cove, Bridgeport -- 1 Iceland Gull (adult), 11 Long-tailed Ducks
(some calling/displaying).
Burying Hill Beach, Westport -- 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
