Of note at Aspetuck Reservoir dam this afternoon was a somewhat early Cliff
Swallow (mixed in with Tree, Barn, Rough-winged, and one Purple Martin) and
a Virginia Rail heard from the marsh behind Aspetuck Cemetery. It called
loudly three times from as close as 25 feet but I couldn't manage to see
it. Bald Eagle and Black Vulture flyovers as well.
