There was a report of these two species at Hammonasset Beach State Park today with no details on either species. The Acadian Flycatcher is the 4th ever eBird report at Hammo (I found it odd that the report did not contain any of the very common Willow Flycatcher). Before this year, there was only 1 ever May/June report of Forster's Tern at Hammo. Could the reporter please post some details on these rarities.
Doesn't a Forster's Tern look (and sound) very similar to Common Tern at this time of year? - how does one go about identifying one now? Could anyone share any tips?
