8/17 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center
9-11:30am, mid tide rising, 75-80F and not humid.
On marsh: 21 American Black ducks, 1 D.C. Cormorant. At 9:50 the male
osprey was on his perch with a fish, Juvenile on the nest. At 10:10am
Female & Juvenile on nest, male still on perch. One Solitary Sandpiper (I
believe) walking the marsh edge with a juvenile Starling following it.
On grounds American Crows, Robins, 3 Starlings, 2 Mourning doves, Common
Grackles, 1 Tree Swakllow, 1 Mockingbird, 1 female Ruby throated
The female RT hummingbird was in the flowers at the Pollinator Garden.
Pollinator Garden was very busy this morning with the Hummingbird, 1
Monarch butterfly, several cabbage whites, Bumble bees & Honey bees, and 1
Woodchuck mosying through.
